At midday nobody in the Kaganat club knew who they would be playing with. Fifty players had registered individually; ten captains stepped up and drafted the pool live, in front of everyone. An hour later the first five teams sat down.
The last round on our servers finished at 23:14 — and that was not the end: the deciding map of the grand final was played separately afterwards. In total: twenty maps, 431 rounds and 2,831 kills across the nineteen maps our stats covered.
sss won it — 2:1 in the grand final and 15,000 som, coming through the lower bracket and recovering from 0:1 down in the series. But the loudest match of the day happened in the very first round, and the man who got 43 kills was not on the winning side.

LOX EBANYISix bans, no picks — that is how BO1 veto works. Dust II survived not because anyone chose it, but because nobody got to ban it. went 6:6 at the half, 12:12 in regulation and into overtime. LOX EBANYI took it 16:14.
And this is what the captain on the losing side did:
43 kills, 21 deaths, 153 ADR, an ace, eleven opening kills. A 2.14 rating — the best individual map of the whole tournament. His team went out ninth.

answered with 37-21 and an ace of his own. Two aces on one map; across the other eighteen maps there was exactly one.
One number that sums up the mix format: the highest-rated player of the day finished ninth.

diehaters picked Cache. sss picked Ancient. Anubis was left as the decider — and this time it was needed. On Cache sss led 7:5 at the half and lost the second half 8:4, 13:11. On Ancient, their own pick, they took the first half 8:4 and the map 13:7 to level the series.
On Ancient everything lined up — rounds and gunfights alike. sss won it on raw kills too, 77 to 66. LIXIA0LONGG put up 25-11 at 158 ADR for a 2.07 rating, the best map of the series.

Six maps — nobody played more. The lower bracket, its final against kbk and all three maps of the grand final. 107-95-26, 99.0 ADR, 77.6% KAST, a 1.28 rating — and the best map of the deciding series (2.07) exactly where the series could have ended 0:2.
The honest caveat: on rating he is ninth. 
kbk leads at 1.64, with kyrosawa and hailrake at 1.63. But kbk finished third, kyrosawa fourth, and hailrake lost the grand final. Among those who reached the title, LIXIA0LONGG is the best of them.
Worth a line of its own: 
kazuomi finished with a 2.12 rating, the highest at the event by a distance — on two maps, with zero wins, in ninth place.
